Neem cake can be used in various ways. It has been recorded
that Neem cake can increase the Nitrate absorption rate of
a plant from 26% to 43% whilst also giving protection to
roots. An example is when used in the rice fields of China
an increase in production was recorded in excess of 70%.
For best growth effect the cake is better dug in. Neem
cake does have a pungent aroma and to overcome this
indoors it is better if a small amount is soaked in water
and used for general watering. A recommended mixture of
a Quarter cup of cake to 1 Litre of water. Drain off the
fluid as the residue will smell after a few days,then
water.
